In this talk, I invite you to look up and rediscover the deep connection between the nature we inhabit and the starry sky that surrounds us.
The stars, which for centuries guided navigators and explorers, are now being dimmed by human activity, with direct consequences for the species that live on Earth and for the balance of natural ecosystems.
Protecting the night sky from light pollution is not only an act in favor of astrophotography and the environment, but also a commitment to our cultural, scientific, and emotional heritage.
Through images of planetary and deep-sky photography, we’ll explore how to get started in astrophotography with a regular camera, how to capture color-rich celestial landscapes, and how light pollution affects both our images and our experience of the night sky.
If you love nature, are moved by the starry sky, and want to discover how astrophotography can become a tool to educate, inspire, and reconnect with the universe, this talk is for you.
