BIO
Nascut al Puerto de la Cruz (Tenerife), en Francis és fotògraf submarí professional, conservacionista i llicenciat en Economia. Va iniciar la seva relació amb el busseig el 1994 i des de 2001 retrata el món submarí amb un estil propi, capturant imatges en llocs com Indonèsia, Moçambic, Galápagos, Mèxic o Canàries, el seu lloc preferit.
Col·laborador habitual de National Geographic España, ha publicat en mitjans internacionals com GEO, Scuba Diving Magazine, Smithsonian o Dive Photo Guide. Va ser portada del llibre Blue Hope de Sylvia Earle i ha participat en obres d’abast global com el llibre del 50è aniversari de la Llista Vermella de la UICN.
És membre del SeaLegacy Collective (2019), fundador de Pelagic Life Canarias (2017), i forma part dels comitès internacionals del Whale Heritage Site i del Corredor Biològic Mundial de la franja marina Teno-Rasca. També pertany a la Ocean Artist Society i col·labora en accions de conservació marina a Canàries.
Ha estat premiat en concursos com el World Press Photo 2017 (1r premi en Natura), el Wildlife Photographer of the Year 2020 i el Siena Photo Contest, entre molts altres. Els seus guardons inclouen reconeixements als EUA, França, Itàlia, Israel, Indonèsia, Austràlia i Mèxic, consolidant-lo com un dels referents mundials en fotografia submarina.

The presentation explores his photographic goals, concerns, and reflections when working underwater, his personal way of seeing the ocean, the relationship he builds with the animals he photographs, and his ongoing pursuit of the perfect shot.
