Laura Nuñez > Nature Stories: A Window to Conservation
In the 19th century, the Norwegian poet Henrik Ibsen first quoted the phrase “a picture is worth a thousand words,” an expression successfully demonstrated in wildlife photography. Nature portraits are tools of awareness that serve to awaken minds and open eyes, and this is the main objective that drives Laura to go out into the field with her camera. She believes she can speak for the entire community of wildlife photographers who, despite not being physically on the battlefield of conservation, fight day after day behind the viewfinder to capture, expose, and demonstrate our planet’s cry for help. Every image of every animal species has a story behind it, and when the sensitivity conveyed by her photographs manages to explain them on their own, she feels she has already contributed her grain of sand to the conservation of the wild environment.
Laura Núñez Bañuls: Wildlife photographer and Fujifilm collaborator. Conservation biologist, nature guide Arctic in Svalbard. She is a podcaster on El Guardabosques and a content creator on social media (@wildlaurheesi).
