Wildlife conservation is a topic of utmost importance today, especially when it comes to endangered species such as rhinos, elephants and lions. These majestic animals face numerous threats that put their survival at risk, so it is crucial to take measures to protect them and ensure their existence in the future.
Threats to wildlife and conservation measures
Rhinos, elephants and lions in particular, as well as a variety of other wild species, face numerous threats that endanger their survival. Poaching, habitat loss, climate change and illegal species trade are just some of the main threats these animals face. Without immediate and coordinated action, these species are likely to disappear in the very near future.
To protect them, effective conservation measures need to be implemented. This includes the creation of protected areas, the strengthening of laws against poaching and illegal trade in species, as well as education and raising awareness among the population about the importance of wildlife conservation.
Photo tours
The photo tours we offer are not only a form of art and exploration, but also a powerful tool for such conservation.
It is essential to follow ethical practices during photo tours. This includes:
- Do not disturb the animals: Keep a safe distance and do not disturb their behavior.
- Leave no trace: Respect the environment and do not leave trash or affect the natural habitat.
- Choose responsible tour operators: Opt for guides and agencies that have a commitment to the conservation and well-being of wildlife and local communities.
Great Zimbabwe and its myths
Now imagine walking through some impressive stone structures, including high walls and a large tower, which have been the subject of study and historical interpretation for many years. Yes, you are in Great Zimbabwe, an archaeological site located in present-day Zimbabwe, known for being the capital of the Monomotapa Kingdom between the 11th and 15th centuries.
One of the myths associated with Great Zimbabwe is the belief that it may have been the location of the mythical “gold mines” mentioned in the Bible, related to King Solomon. This idea is based on archaeological confirmation that the place was a center of trade in gold and riches, as well as the legend that links the area to King Solomon’s imported fortune.
Victoria Falls: A natural wonder
Now, surrounded by the thunderous sound of water and a mist that creates unimaginable rainbows, you are in Mosi-oa-Tunya, “the smoke that thunders”, or Victoria Falls. Located on the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe, they are one of the most impressive natural wonders in the world.
The photographic expedition to Zimbabwe
We will tell you about our proposed photographic expedition to Zimbabwe, where, in addition to taking different safaris both in vehicles and on foot, we will visit the conservation projects for rhinos, elephants and lions. We will learn about the legends as we walk through the ruins of Great Zimbabwe. We will be surrounded by the mist, sound and light of the mythical Victoria Falls and we will live unique experiences.
