A unique experience with photographer Kristel Schneider and her presentation RIVERSCAPE, which focuses on the Allier River in France, one of the last great untamed rivers in Europe.
For three years, Kristel explored every corner of the river to capture its essence through images that show the colors, shapes and movements of the water, as well as the richness of the vegetation. This work goes beyond photography, combining music by composer Fabrizio Paterlini, offering a poetic and visual exploration of the Allier River.
His artistic style is characterized by his keen eye for detail and ability to capture fleeting moments with remarkable emotional depth. Kristel’s use of natural light, climatic elements and textured compositions invite viewers to experience the simplicity and magnificence of nature. For her, photography is more than a passion; it is a way of life and her ultimate means of creative expression.
Born and raised in the Netherlands, Kristel spent a significant part of her adult life in Amsterdam. With a background in human resources management and communication, she previously worked as an international communication consultant for a pharmaceutical company. However, in 2007, he followed his heart and moved to Auvergne, France, to pursue photography full time. Since 2009, Kristel has worked as a professional photographer, undertaking private commissions and photographic assignments. Her work appears in various publications, magazines, and books, and she is a frequent presenter and exhibitor at photography festivals across Europe. She self-published her first book, VARIATIONS IN TREES, in December 2017, and her latest book, RIVERSCAPE, was released in October 2023. In addition to her independent projects, she collaborates with Nordic Vision PhotoTours, an organization based in the Netherlands.
