Unforgettable moments at the MontPhoto 2024 awards ceremony
The MontPhoto Fest 2024 awards ceremony, held in Lloret de Mar, was full of special moments that will remain etched in the memory of all attendees. Beyond the prestigious awards, the ceremony became an exciting spectacle where music, tributes and art came together to celebrate the passion for nature photography.
A magical start with pianist Yoko Suzuki and Eloïsa Matheu
The gala began with an emotional performance by pianist Yoko Suzuki, who transported us to a unique sound universe by creating a dialogue with Eloïsa Matheu‘s field recordings. This moment, as intimate as it was powerful, set the tone for an evening dedicated to the beauty of nature and art.
Later, Yoko thrilled the audience again by adding live music to the video presenting the finalist photographs for the MontPhoto Award 2024. Her performance, synchronized with the projection of striking images, made everyone’s hair stand on end, leaving a silence full of amazement in the auditorium. As a gesture of gratitude, Paco Membrives gave her a bouquet of flowers in the purest style of the great theaters, drawing a standing ovation from the audience.
The CEF silver pin for Paco Membrives
Another of the highlights of the evening was the special recognition of Paco Membrives, president of MontPhoto, who received the Silver Pin of the Spanish Confederation of Photography (CEF). This award, presented by Víctor Murillo, vice president of the CEF, is a symbol of gratitude and admiration for his tireless work in promoting nature photography and his contribution to the world of photography in general.
The applause of the public was unanimous, recognizing not only Paco’s work at the head of MontPhoto, but also his commitment to the photography community and environmental conservation.
