Pianist Yoko Suzuki to perform live at the 2024 MontPhoto Awards Gala
On October 5, the MontPhoto Festival 2024 Awards Gala will be even more special with a live performance by renowned pianist Yoko Suzuki, who will accompany this emotional event with her music.
We are proud to welcome Yoko Suzuki, an internationally renowned artist whose sensitivity and mastery of the piano have thrilled audiences around the world. Born in Tokyo and educated at Musashino University of Music, Yoko has developed a brilliant career as a soloist, performing in both concerts and artistic productions in various countries. Her performance during the gala will add a unique artistic dimension, enriching the celebration of the best talents in nature photography.
The pianist, who will be accompanying us for the third time at the MontPhoto Gala, will perform a live performance, adding music to the award-winning photographs from this year’s MontPhoto Competition.
Who is Yoko Suzuki
Yoko Suzuki is a pianist and composer born in Tokyo, Japan. From a young age she showed a great passion for music, beginning her piano training at the age of three and accompanying her father’s church choir from the age of five. She graduated from Musashino University of Music in Tokyo and later moved to Barcelona, where she delved deeper into the Spanish and classical repertoire under the tutelage of Alicia de Larrocha and Carlota Garriga at the Marshall Academy.
Yoko has taken her music around the world, giving concerts in places as diverse as Spain, Germany, Italy, the United States and Japan, and has been praised for her interpretive sensitivity and technical mastery. She has released several albums, including her own works and classical pieces by composers such as Granados, Albéniz and Mompou. Her latest work, Yoko Piano – Lágrima de luna, reflects her personal style and deep connection with music.
In addition to her solo career, Yoko has collaborated with orchestras, participated in shows such as THE ICE 2017 in Japan, and has been recognized for her contribution to the cultural exchange between Japan and Spain. She currently resides in Barcelona, where she continues to share her music and collaborate with various cultural institutions.
